Watching TV a lot (do you?)..

Watching TV for long hours could shorten your life.. (Really??)

Prolonged television viewing has been linked to a higher risk of death. This is the conclusion of a study conducted at the Baker International Diabetes Institute ( Heart and Diabetes Institute) in Melbourne. The researchers followed 8,800 individuals aged 25 and above for a period of 6 years. Those who watched four or more hours of TV a day were 46% more likely to die of any cause and 80% more likely to die of cardiovascular disease than those who spent less than 2 hours a day watching tv. The study suggests that the increased risk of death is linked to long periods of inactivity, such as sitting in front of the TV..
